Oblong Base Plate for 50.8 Round Satin Tube
Where would you normally use this stainless steel handrail fitting?
It can be either used as a base plate at the bottom of a stainless steel support post, or as a wall bracket for fixing stainless steel tube between 2 walls.
What is it made out of?
316 grade Stainless Steel in a Satin finish.
Can it be used for exterior applications?
As it is 316 grade Stainless Steel, it is more than suitable for use outside.
How do you fix it to the stainless steel tube?
If used as a wall bracket, then you can use a suitable glue (search IF123X on our online shop). If used as a base plate, then you would need to weld from underneath, otherwise the post will likely wobble. A better product on our website would be the internal fit version (search SSF013-M6 on our website).
