Where would you normally use this stainless steel handrail fitting?
When needing to create a support post from 50mm square stainless tube, this base plate can be welded to the bottom of the tube, so that the post can be more easily fixed to the ground.
What is it made out of?
304 grade Stainless Steel.
Can it be used for exterior applications?
As it is 304 grade Stainless Steel, it is more than suitable for use outside, as long as a 316 stainless cover plate is used with it.
How do you fix it to the stainless steel tube?
It must be welded to the tube. Glue will not work.
